Trademark Counsel

Mrs. Kistersky started working with the IPR GROUP in 2001. She prosecutes trademarks registration processes for both national and international applications. In total she is in charge of more than 3,000 trademark records in various jurisdictions of the CIS.

Helen also specializes in the supplying of license agreements and assignments of IP portfolios. Throughout her career, Helen has been responsible for drafting a large number of licenses and assignments of agreements which have been successfully registered in the Patent and Trademark offices of various CIS countries and served as grounds for a number of IP litigations for assignees and licensees right protection, as well as for entering records to the custom registers of IP objects.

Helen received her first degree from the Kharkov State University of Economics which she completed in the year 1998 and went on to receive a Master’s Degree in the field of Business Economics. In 2009 Helen graduated from the Institute of Intellectual Property and got the qualification of a professional in the field of intellectual property.

Mrs. Kistersky’s skills and qualifications lay mainly in the area of copyright protection, and in handling hundreds of copyright registrations, she has successfully represented the interests of clients such as the hotel chain «Premier Hotels and Resorts» in the field of copyright protection for the «Practical instructions for standard service for hotels».

Helen has valuable work experience in the registration of qualified indication of place of origin as geographical indication. In this field she has represented the interests of one of the biggest Ukrainian winery ‘’Tavria’.

Helen’s hobbies include folk dances, fitness and skiing. She is also into a number of sporting activities and is never hesitant to try something new. Her favourite free time activity is landscaping.
