The Attorneys of the IPR Group attended the 2018 Brands and Innovation conference in New York on March 19 and 20

Artificial intelligence, augmented reality, blockchain, cryptocurrency and the Internet of Things, their impact on brands and the ways how these things are used to better protect brand owners were among the key issues discussed by the attendees and speakers from various industries and companies such as Amazon.com, eBay, Inc., Facebook, IBM Corporation, ​​​​​​​Netflix, Inc., Mars, Inc., ​​​​​Microsoft Corporation and others.

All kinds of innovations and how they can affect our lives, their helpful and harmful impact on brands and companies’ reputation, how fraudsters may take advantage of innovative solutions, how innovations outpace the IP law and how efficiently address and face these recent challenges in IP rights protection field that’s what the attendees of these two-day conference learned and also shared their own views and best practices.

How innovations can effectively help with fighting the counterfeits which still continue to be the biggest issue now has spurred a vivid discussion among the panelists and attendees.

The first day of the conference ended with the Pre-Annual Meeting Reception where IP practitioners met for a lively discussion and networking in a nice atmosphere of Copacabana Times Square.
