The IPR Group Trademark team was pleased to host our dear friend, thought and business partner, Nicola Novaro, an Italian leading specialist in IP rights protection, well-known expert in the sphere of plant breeders’ rights (PBR) protection, also known as plant variety rights (PVR), in Italy, the EU and other countries all over the world.
It is a pleasure for us to maintain partnering relations with Mr. Nicola Novaro’s Law firm. Our cooperation gives an opportunity to represent interests of our clients within the EU and extend valuable international experience in variety rights protection to countries of our jurisdictions.
On the meeting, we have briefly discussed last developments and major problems in the sphere of innovative technologies, inventions solutions related to protection of plant variety rights in Italy, the EU, the CIS countries, in Latina America and Australia.
We also paid an attention to the main economic and agricultural reforms in Ukraine, which can have an influence on the intellectual property rights protection in the country, especially focused on agricultural reforms, peculiarities of agricultural farms development and promoting precision-agriculture, land sale law and relevant changes in the Ukrainian legislation.
The meeting indicated mutual interest in continuing our partnership in PVR protection and possible expanding to the sphere of geographical indications protection in the framework of upcoming EU projects.
The meeting took place in a nice restaurant with delicious Georgian cuisine and drinks. Its warm relaxed atmosphere facilitated communication on business prospects, possible launching new projects in IP sphere, as well as sharing thoughts about peculiarities and trends in IP rights legislation in a view of new challenges.
