Trademarks Assignment in Tajikistan

Recordal of the Trademark Assignment with PTO is mandatory.

The trademark shall be assigned through concluding the relevant Deed of Assignment (DOA) by the parties. The Deed of Assignment of a trademark(s) must be registered with the Patent and Trademark Office. Without such registration, the DOA has no effect and assignment is not recorded in the Trademark Register.

The following documents are required for recordal of assignment:

One original notarized Deed of Assignment duly signed and sealed by the Parties;
Original Power of Attorney from both an Assignee and an Assignor, duly signed and sealed with a company stamp;
Payment of relevant official fees.

The regular time frame of recordal of trademark assignment is 6-8 months.
