• Industrial Designs: Applications increased by 5.5%, totaling 269 applications, with 212 (78.8%) submitted by national applicants and 57 (21.2%) by foreign applicants. Notably, non-resident filings surged by 171.4%.
• Trademarks: The total number of filings rose slightly by 0.7%, amounting to 20,934 applications, including 11,455 (54.7%) from national applicants and 9,479 (45.3%) from foreign applicants.

A significant milestone was the issuance of the decree “On Additional Measures to Accelerate the Process of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Accession to the World Trade Organization” on June 2, 2023. This decree prioritizes WTO membership, taking major steps toward aligning the country’s customs duties, fees, and pricing structures with the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT 1994).
