INTA Annual Meeting in Singapore, May 16-20, 2023

It is the year 2023 and members of the IP community from across the world are able to gather once more for a full in-person post-pandemic conference in Singapore. This was after a long hiatus which began with the cancellation of the event at the same location in 2020, due to coronavirus restrictions.

Despite the ongoing invasion and war in Ukraine, IPR Group Attorneys managed to attend the event as  part of the Ukrainian IP community and in a bid to contribute news of our IP practice for the benefit of our colleagues worldwide.

High on the agenda was new developments in the field of intellectual property protection in all jurisdictions across the world. During the meetings, the IPR GROUP team discussed the recent changes in trademark practices worldwide with fellow IP practitioners. Salient points included post pandemic shifts in the trademark industry, as well as other factors impacting the IP industry and right holders.

During the event, IPR GROUP Attorneys had a chance to once again connect with IP practitioners from all over the world, meet old friends and make new connections as an essential part of business development and growth.

As usual there were plentiful networking opportunities through numerous receptions, educational sessions and workshops and also interact with IP professionals from many countries. Attendees also participated in speed networking, yoga and other sports sessions where acute issues of enforcement and the prosecution of IP rights were actively discussed.

The event proved a success and a great opportunity for the team to enjoy the beautiful and business-like atmosphere of Singapore combined with a perfect chance to enhance and enrich their knowledge and practice in trademarks, patents, copyright and other IP related fields, as well as to discuss latest trends and updates on such issues as combating counterfeiting, infringement of IP rights, domains retrieval and so much more.

We extend our gratitude to the organisers for a successful event and look forward to the next INTA annual meeting with hope for a more peaceful and less turbulent world.
