By the invitation of the Turkish Patent Office and the Association of Patent Attorneys of Turkey the IPR GROUP staff took part in the international conference “Patent protection for pharmaceutical and biotechnological inventions” that was held in Istanbul on September 22-23.
The conference featured presentations given by the examiners from different patent offices, IP practitioners, patent attorneys, in-house patent councils of pharmaceutical companies as well as judges focused on intellectual property cases.
The narrow specialization of delegates and a unique professional experience gave the opportunity to the attendees to get a clear picture of the current trends in the development of the sphere of pharmaceutical and biotechnological inventions – the methods and peculiar features of examination of patent applications, the efficient strategies of protection and enforcement of rights, the court practice and expectations of the pharmaceutical products originators and manufacturers.
