The attorneys of the IPR GROUP regularly attend IP events organized by various associations all over the world. On July 12, 2019, Trademark team of the IPR GROUP attended the Annual Pharma and Life Science Day in Schloss Suresnes in Munich.
During the event high-calibre in-house practitioners and attorneys presented hot topics in Pharma and Life Sciences fresh from their desks. The list of speakers included inter alia from Novartis International AG, Sanofi, MilliporeSigma, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories SA, Paton Landespatentzentrum Thüringen an der TU Ilmenau, Egis Pharmaceuticals PLC, as well as the European Patent Office and the District Court of Munich.
The event addressed recent developments in the CRISPR/Cas IP landscape, implications of the Falsified Medicine Directive (FMD), SPC waivers and the Nagoya Protocol. In addition, participants were updated on the most recent decisions in Pharma case law, as well as received information as to the pitfalls of EU competition law.
The Pharma and Life Science Day provided fantastic opportunity for participants to discuss the most recent trends in pharma and life sciences in a relaxed environment with the colleagues from the industry.
The event was finalized with the reception, at the Seehaus Englischer Garten, located directly on the banks of the Kleinhesseloher Lake, which provided the greate opportunity for sharing impressions.
